You may have heard about #GivingTuesday, the annual event which occurs on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving Day in the U.S. If you have not heard about this until now, it's okay.
#GivingTuesday kicks off the charitable season, when many focus on their holiday and end-of-year giving. Since its inaugural year in 2012, #GivingTuesday has become a movement that celebrates and supports giving and philanthropy with events throughout the year and a growing catalog of resources.
With that in mind, Latino LinQ is now setup so that donations can be accepted via PayPal. In fact, PayPal Giving Fund is an IRS-registered 501(c)(3) public charity (Federal Tax ID: 45-0931286) that uses PayPal technology and financial support to fundraise for causes, without charging donors or charities for their services. Click the link to learn more about how the entire process works.
This year, they are teaming up with Facebook to match 100% of donations made on Giving Tuesday, up to a total of $7 million, to eligible 501(c)(3) nonprofits. Because Latino LinQ is one of these nonprofits, we're encouraging all of our supporters to maximize your donation and click on the link or button at the end of this article tomorrow morning starting at 8 am ET. Why at that time, you might be asking yourself? That's when the match officially kicks off. Click the following link to learn more about the details about the match.
Lastly, and most important, please click on the following link or the "Donar" button below to make your donation when you're ready. It takes just minutes. With your support, Latino LinQ will continue to grow its mission.
Hello! Saludos a todos!
LatinoLinQ is growing and we are looking for a couple of bilingual (Spanish - English) volunteers to support that growth by working on our digital communications platforms.
These talented volunteers would be responsible for updating the LatinoLinQ website, keeping it current and partially managing our social media platforms (Facebook) as well. They would work very closely with the LatinoLinQ board of directors on content and setting the communications strategy for the organization.
This is an excellent way to get involved with and give back to the Latinx community, build your resume, and get to know fellow supporters. Volunteers interested would ideally have previous experience writing and managing digital platforms.
If you are interested in volunteering with LatinoLinQ, please send your resume or related experience to: LatinoLinQ@gmail.com. If you know of someone who would be great for this role, please share this with them. Thank you!
¡Gracias!
