Although we're not working directly with youth in this program, the idea is to indirectly support youth by the way of parents peer education. Peer programs have been researched extensively and have been found to work in our Latinx community and we wanted to take advantage of that. We are lucky also to receive technical assistance from Latinos In The Deep South (a program of Latino Commission on Aids) on this initiative.
We were lucky enough to receive a small grant from Campaign for Southern Equality (check them out for more info about their work) at their last conference in March of this year to kick-start this program. But if you would like to support this incredible initiative please contact us to make a donation (firstname.lastname@example.org)
